The study of movement through Manual Therapies, Biomechanics and Reformer Pilates. We use a holistic approach with a wealth of scientific knowledge to enable you to gain a deeper understanding of your body. We explore mobility, control, strength, alignment and flexibility of movement in order to support a balanced lifestyle.

At Movementology we pride ourselves on providing you with a tailored service to suit your individual needs and goals. We understand that pain, discomfort and restrictions in movement can have a significant impact on ones day to day life. We are passionate about helping people feel their best by restoring the efficiency of movement.

Chloe - Founder/Owner

Chloe has always had a keen interest in exercise and a passion for human movement, which naturally led to an MSc in Musculoskeletal Sport Science and Health. Over the past 7 years Chloe has continued to expand her skill-set with qualifications in Sports & Remedial Massage, Medical Acupuncture and Dry Needling, Biomechanics, Injury Rehabilitation, Cupping Therapy, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation, and most recently Reformer Pilates.

Treatment with Chloe is bespoke to your individual needs, and may include a combination of trigger point therapy, massage, dry needling, muscle energy techniques and exercise prescription. Chloe places high value on sharing her expertise and the tools needed, to enable each client to gain further knowledge over their own body.

Chloe has developed a loyal client base who value her commitment in supporting anyone to achieve their personal goals, be that in sporting performance, injury rehabilitation or simply feeling their best. 

Chloe understands the need to feel at your best and when she is not in clinic, you’ll find her mostly outdoors hiking or dog walking, spending time on the reformer or in the gym doing some form of strength and resistance training, or pursuing her interests in crafting and travel.

Suzie - Massage Therapist

Meet Suzie. Whilst juggling three children and running a business, Suzie had grown to appreciate the importance of keeping her body healthy, strong and fit for both her physical and mental health. She decided to pursue her interest in fitness and massage and gained her Level 3 Body Massage qualification in 2022.

Suzie works using traditional Swedish massage techniques but has an interest in female health and nutrition and understands the impact hormonal changes have on the body and mind. Suzie  offers Deep Tissue massage alongside Swedish massage and also a Signature Head, Neck, Shoulders & Scalp massage particularly aimed at reducing stress and relieving tension. Suzie has now added pregnancy & postnatal massage to her repertoire.

Out of the studio you will find Suzie enjoying the great outdoors usually running, cycling, partaking in fitness bootcamps, skiing and completing the odd triathlon – she loves a challenge!

Trish - Sports Massage & Rehabilitation Therapist

Trish comes from a sporting background, being an athlete herself for many years. Her passion for physiotherapy ignited through sustaining an extensive sports injury. This fueled her to obtain a MSc in Sport Rehabilitation, following an undergraduate BSc in Sports Coaching and Performance.

Over the past two years of completing her master’s degree, Trish has utilised her manual therapy and rehabilitation skills in various sporting and clinical settings in the UK.

Trish has also had two years working in elite sports as well as amateur. Working with team GB Olympic medalists, Team Ireland athletes, and Commonwealth Games athletes. She has also previously worked with London Irish Amateur RFC and some amateur rugby sevens teams. The experience from which translates excellently to the treatments she’ll be undertaking at Movementology.

Trish strives to provide an individual treatment experience to suit your needs, whether that be improving sport performance, injury rehabilitation or simply improving your day to day life.

Outside of work, you would usually find Trish outdoors whether it be on a hike with her dogs, at the rugby, or on a Gaelic football pitch.

Katie - Sports Massage Therapist

Katie is an avid rock climber and has competed in swimming both indoors from a young age and more recently, outdoors in open water.  The desire to help people is what led Katie to pursue her level three qualification in Sports Massage. As somebody who has had a rigorous training regime in the past, Katie understands the importance of aiding recovery in sport but in general wants people from all walks of life to have the option of improving their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
 
Katie provides a warm, open and relaxing environment while using a range of different techniques to help clients relax and relieve tension within the muscles. Katie is part of the Sports Therapy Association and is always working to develop her skills further while providing an excellent service to clients at Movementology.
 

Outside of work, you will normally find Katie in the mountains or at one of the local crags in the area bouldering, trad climbing or sport climbing. Alternatively, she will be swimming in preparation for her next event. Katie is an advocate of living life to the full, she also enjoys spending time outside and with her family and friends.

Jo - Holistic Therapist

Jo has worked as a self-employed holistic therapist for over 20 years and has recently relocated to the area from North Lincolnshire. She has a particular love of Reflexology and how it balances the body and mind whilst being incredibly relaxing and therapeutic.

She tries to encourage people to listen to their bodies and use holistic methods to de-stress, re-energise and boost themselves to bring a calmer, more functional lifestyle.

Amongst her repertoire of treatments is Manual Lymphatic Drainage which is a superb way to alleviate water retention and help the body circulate lymph and disposal of unwanted fluid. Other therapies include Reflexology, Deep Tissue Massage & Thermal Articular Therapy (ear candles).

Jo’s hobbies include camping, being a scout leader, festivals and hiking – she has completed several charity marathon walks as well as a daredevil skydive!
