Manual Therapy involves hands-on techniques such as Massage, Mobilisation and Manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body, to promote and improve overall health and wellbeing.

There are numerous types of Massage Therapy methods, here at Movementology we focus on Sports, Deep Tissue, Remedial, Swedish & Pregnancy styles of massage.

Other therapies and techniques include Muscle Energy Techniques (METs), Acupuncture & Dry Needling, Biomechanical Assessment, Injury Rehabilitation, Myofascial Cupping & Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation.

Manual Therapy Treatment Options

Sports Massage (1hr or 45 mins)

To aid in the recovery of soft tissues involved in repetitive movements such as sports, prolonged postures (e.g. sitting/ driving) or manual work.

Deep Tissue Massage (1hr)

A firm massage incorporating sustained pressure and flowing movements to get to the deeper layers of tissue to relieve muscular tension and also provide relaxation.

Remedial Massage (1hr)

An umbrella term for many different manual therapy techniques. It can aid in the recovery of injured tissues or chronic pain conditions. It also aims to discover the potential root cause of pain and injury to further assist recovery.

Classic Full Body Swedish Massage (1hr)

Tailored to suit your needs this is a total body relaxation from head to toe. Using classic Swedish massage strokes to relax the muscles, relieve tension and reduce stress.

Swedish Back and Shoulder Massage (45 mins)

Focusing onthe back and shoulders, this deep tissue massage will relive tension and work on those knots we all have. Sweeping movements and gentle manipulation of the soft tissues will improve skin tone, posture and general wellbeing.
